Texas WILDflowers Best of Division - Hand Quilted - Adult

I am inspired by the beautiful wildflowers along the roads in Texas. I enjoy fabric manipulation and wanted to create an art quilt using several manipulation techniques. I first pieced the background then used bias strips for stems, yoyos for small flowers and the giant pine bur to represent the bluebonnets. I embellished with lace and beads, hand embroidery and finished with big stitch quilting.
