This is a quilt representing favorite flowers, birds and insects that live in my neighborhood. Each block was created using many small pieces of fabric which were selected to bring the subject to life. The fabric was fused, then heavily machine quilted.

The blocks were based on gray scale designs published by Emily Taylor. I modified each of her designs by adding background elements, using my own fabric choices and placement, and adding sashing and quilting. All the work was done by me.
