Lola and Olive

Lola and Olive, Machine Quilting
Lola and Olive Red Ribbon - Adult
This quilt depicts two pigs playing in the flowers with butterflies and bees flying around them. I enjoy mixing vintage and modern when making my quilts. In the quilt I have included a "Barn Quilt" on the side of the barn. The "American Barn Quilt" is believed to have started about 300 years ago. A Barn Quilt is a quilt block often painted on the side or roof of a barn to help travelers with directions to safe lodging or food similar to the signs along the railroad for Hobos or signs along the underground railroad to help find safe lodging or food. I enjoy History so I enjoy mixing vintage along with modern quilt patterns or design in my quilts.
