Stairway to Heaven was a thought I had about the cats that have occupied a place in my heart - the oto my granddaughter who tootnes I have lost from old age and those from accidents. They were all good kitties and did their best to be companions to me and hunters for my barn. This patchwork and applique just seemed like a fitting memorial for all of them - the ones that have passed away and those that are still in my care. I will be giving this quilt to my granddaughter who took Boots and Luna to college with her.
