As a young designer I wanted to capture the love between my mother and myself by using an original design and the lyrics' to a song that emphasizes the appreciation and love I have for my mom and all she has given to me throughout my life. The first quit I made for my mom, a few years ago, was sadly lost in a house fire, so replacing it now as I get ready to embark on my senior year of high school added meaning to the work, creation and development of this very special piece. To make it personal I added specific fabric that showcases pink roses which are her favorite flower. It was also important to include the gold dotted fabric and the iridescent silver roses on the backing fabric as key elements to the design that reflects the vibrant and sparkling personality of my beautiful mother.
