A Traditionally Built Woman's Journey

A Traditionally Built Woman's Journey, Machine Quilting
A Traditionally Built Woman's Journey Red Ribbon - Adult
This quilt was inspired by the book covers from the series, "No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency" written by Alexander McCall Smith. Sewing techniques used include curved piecing, machine and hand embroidery, appliqué, braid piecing and traditional flying geese. Each block was structured and created following a monthly challenge created by Quiltfolk; utilizing suggested themes related to books in general. The well-versed journey of the heroine, Precious Ramotswe - a traditionally built woman, in this series provided much inspiration. Machine quilted on a domestic machine.
