I wanted to do an Art Quilt and I love dragons. I decided I would include a dragon on the quilt. I love reading and the book series, Wings of Fire is one of my favorites. I decided to make up my own dragon character based on the dragons from Wings of Fire. My quilt is named Strawberry the Silkwing. This is the character I created. The colors of the dragon are from the colors found in strawberries. All the fabric is 100% cotton. The silver ribbon is polyester and metallic. The black embroidery floss is 100% cotton and the gold floss is 10% cotton and 90% metallic. I did the embroidery because I think it makes the dragon stand out.
